They have DeSoto zip codes (75115). They appear on DeSoto maps. But children who live there attend Duncanville ISD schools, not DeSoto ISD.
This is not a reflection of quality — Duncanville ISD is a strong district in its own right. But for families who specifically chose DeSoto for DeSoto ISD, this distinction matters significantly.
