What Moving in Plano Actually Involves
Three things decide how a Plano move goes: which side of the Legacy corridor you are on, whether your building wants a certificate of insurance, and whether an HOA controls the street. Here is how we handle each of them.
Your crew leaves from Plano, not from Dallas
Our Plano office is at 5700 Tennyson Pkwy #300, Plano TX 75024 — inside the Legacy corridor itself, a few minutes from Legacy West, the Shops at Legacy and Granite Park. Plano jobs dispatch from that address rather than from our Dallas or Garland offices, and no address inside Plano's seven zip codes is more than about fifteen road miles from that door — the far corner of south-east Plano is the longest run we make in the city. That is why 75023, 75024, 75025, 75074, 75075, 75093 and 75094 all get the same crews and the same arrival window instead of a "we cover that area too" answer.
Pricing is the same across all seven: $135/hr for 2 movers and a truck, $185/hr for 3, $225/hr for 4, plus one flat $99 travel fee and a 2-hour minimum — a 1-bedroom Plano move starts at $369. The number is written down before anything is loaded.
COI: the Legacy corridor asks, east Plano usually does not
The mid-rise and high-rise communities along the Legacy corridor in 75024 and 75093 — AMLI Legacy Union, Cortland Legacy, Camden Legacy Creek, Novel Legacy West, plus The Boardwalk and Windrose — will not let a mover through the loading door without a certificate of insurance first. It is the standard ACORD 25 form, it has to name the community and its management company as certificate holder, and most leasing offices want it several days ahead of move day. We issue it within 48 hours of your booking and send it to the leasing office directly, along with the elevator and dock reservation.
The garden-style communities in east Plano — 75074 and 75075 — typically do not ask for a COI at all. If you are not sure which camp your building is in, tell us the community name when you call and we will find out before move day rather than on it. Full detail on the paperwork, elevator windows and dock rules is on our Plano apartment movers page.

Moving out of Plano rather than within it
Plenty of Plano moves end somewhere else in Collin County or outside Texas entirely. For a move within the metroplex see Frisco, Allen, Richardson or McKinney. For a move out of state we are a licensed motor carrier under our own USDOT #3918729, not a broker reselling your job — see long distance movers Plano TX.
