How Same-Day Dallas to Houston Works

Same-day on a 240-mile route is tighter than it sounds. Dallas to Houston on I-45 is 3.5 to 4 hours of drive time. Add 1.5 to 2 hours of loading in Dallas and another 1.5 hours of unloading in Houston, and a studio or 1BR move that starts at 7 AM finishes in Houston around 2 or 3 PM. That is a same-day delivery window, but just barely. Calling before noon is the line -- if we hear from you by noon and have a crew available, same-day is usually possible for small moves. After noon we can often do next-morning delivery, which means the crew loads same-day and drives to Houston, stays overnight, and unloads first thing.

For 2BR and larger homes, same-day delivery to Houston is not realistic. The math does not work. Load time, drive time, and unload time push past midnight for anything beyond a studio. We will tell you that on the phone when you call -- not after your furniture is already on the truck.
